This Saturday, Oct 1, BTC hosts photographer IAN SHIVE, the Sierra Club's 2011 Ansel Adams Award recipient for a booksigning at 6pm. Ian is a full-time conservation photographer based in L.A. and is on the faculty of this year's Photography Festival. His book, "The National Parks: Our American Landscape," documents the 4-year relationship with the non-profit stewards of the park system covering stories in the parks that not many people know and witnessing places many people have never seen.
